This past weekend saw the men’s and ladies had their 2nd cross country league fixture of the season
Due to the original facilities being too boggy the ladies had their fixture with us gents in Betley, we also had division 3 men join the division 1 fixture which meant a big field of about 350+ men!
All results below for the men are with Division 3 removed.
The ladies were up first!
On a new course and venue the ladies were able to get on first and discover that although there were a few ups and downs – the course was good underfoot and allowed for some good running!
Regarding the results we are still awaiting the correct results.
The ladies were lead out by Kidst. who is missing from the results our guess is somewhere between 14-17th…
There was a senior debut for Emily Reed in 22nd, a GoDiva debut for Sophia Charters in 43rd and Jayne M completing the team in 47th
Once the results are updated my estimates are that godiva will be somewhere between 4-6th on the day and 3rd overall!
It was a close call as 4 ladies make a team and all 4 finished!
Naturally any ladies reading this looking to take up running, this this as a hint to join us!
The gents were on after the ladies,
First through the new course for Godiva was Mo in 6th, second was Matt B (the ‘kiwi) in 15th, Miles making his first senior XC debut was in 28th and 8th Junior male, Ali Smith was 32nd, Scott H 43rd & Jo Mcleod was the final A scorer in 47th
