Saturday 11th January had the seniors have their 3rd league fixtures,
Up first was the ladies, who were at Coombe Abbey – I hope that I dont need to inform the readers of this report where that venue is!!!
The ladies were originally hoping for an easy course (easy for cross country!). However after arriving the course was very boggy and there were even heard of sheep spotted!
The ladies fixture had a lot more strength in depth and numbers to the 2nd league fixture in December.
Issy Davies led the ladies out with a fantastic run to come back in 12th, Myshola was close on her heels in 21st and packing nice was Emily Reed in 31st.
Sophia Charters next had a great run and in at 81st with Jayne Mumford completing the godiva ladies In 94th
Our ladies were 6th overall. With Sutton coldfield scoring well the final promotion space is looking to be between the Coventry Godiva Ladies and Sutton Coldfield!
All to play for!
The men were at Northampton – Abington Park.
The conditions played a big part for all involved as the recent wet weather had meant it was boggy and deep mud!
Godiva were led out by Mo who was 22nd, 2nd godiva was Ali Smith in 45th, Scott Hudspith was 53rd, Jo Mcleod 71st, Jason Brotherhood was 112th and the A team was completed by Andy Boon in 125th.
The A team were 9th on the day.
The B team was led out by Campbell Menzies 135th, followed by Peggy 160th, Mark Sykes 173rd, Matt Hadlum 194th, Pete Eccleston was 204th and the B team was completed by Rob Richardson 226th
The B team were 11th on the day.
There was also runs by Simon Clark in 242nd and Garry Flude in 250th
A good turn out by all!
