Dear Coventry Godiva Harrier member,
It’s that time of year when we approach the need to renew our membership subscriptions
The new membership fees are outlined below for the period April 1st, 2026 – March 31st, 2027
Unfortunately, due to several economic factors, the club has needed to increase the membership fees. In implementing these
new fees for 2026/27, the committee has tried to keep any increase to a minimum, and despite cost increases in our utility bills,
race entry/league fees and England Athletics registration during this period, it has been able to do so.
The following examples are some of the costs the club incurs on a yearly basis:
• Hire of the track from Warwick University – £9,600 (Tuesday/Thursday evening training only)
• Club insurance – £2,700
• England Athletics fees – £5,100
• Entry fees (based on 2024/25) – £2,600
• Coaching and Technical official’s fees £2,300
• Admin services £2,000
The committee believes that CGH club membership still offers great value for money when compared to other local sporting
clubs, whether connected to athletics or other sports. The committee would also like to point out that:
• All our coaches and volunteers give their time free of charge, thus enabling the club to operate.
• The committee will continue to invest in the development of new coaches and equipment to the benefit of the
members
• £23.00 of every first claim membership fee goes straight to England Athletics for the athlete’s registration
The majority of members now pay by bank transfer so here are the bank details for those who don’t have them:

Please remember to include your name as a reference if you are a senior or your child’s name if a parent/guardian and please
pay on a single athlete’s basis as this helps the club in tracking who has paid.
This sometimes doesn’t appear on the bank statement so it’s impossible for us to know whose subs have been paid and
therefore the athlete can’t be registered with EA. In order to avoid any confusion, please inform us as soon as you have made
your bank transfer by emailing either registrations@coventry-godiva-harriers.co.uk.
For those who are unable to pay by bank transfer, we do accept cheques. Please make them out to Coventry Godiva Harriers
and pay at the Hungry Harrier club house, writing the athletes name on the back and age group.
Important note:
From April 1st, 2026, all members must go into their England Athletics portal page and accept the athletes code of
conduct. This is a stipulation from England Athletics and is linked to the club being affiliated for this period
Please remember that you need to pay your subscriptions by April 1st, 2026, for you to be registered with England
Athletics and compete if you have a competition in April.
